Experience from the field: Ius et veritas and Prosode

Truly, it is indispensable to find a rapidly solution that allows to recover -or to discover for the first time-, the trust in judicial institutions as the best way to resolve controversies. Nowadays, according to a survey conducted for APOYO[1], seventy per cent of the Peruvian population dismisses the labor of the Judicial Power. Under this common sensation of disappointment, I argue that any attempt of solution will not be satisfactory if it does not include an improvement on how the law is taught to the people, not only to students in law schools of the country, but also to regular citizens who suffer the inefficiencies of the damage system.
[1] The survey was realized in Lima, in December of 2006, and is available in http://www.elcomercioperu.com.pe/EdicionImpresa/Photo/pl-aprobacioninfo-101206.jpg.

Inside the Faculty of Law of the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú many initiatives connected to the topic under analysis can be found. Different organizations, usually conformed by students, contribute in a small but important scale to the development of strategies against the problem of access to justice. Is a matter of hope, of juvenile rebelliousness against the pessimism that covers the majority of Peruvian population.
